The building is in young gothic style with narrow arches. The walls

In the 1830 much of the church was restored and in 1862 there were
made some additions to the building.
The last major restoration was finished in 1929.

The reconstructed Viking farm on Bukkøy:
In
the Viking era the Kings lived in Avaldsnes, but most folks on the
island focused on catching fish, work the land, take care of their
animals, make materials and make the every day bread. Most of the
Vikings were in fact farmers and/or fishermen, and it's these people
you meet on the reconstructed Viking farm. Around the year 950 there
would probably have lived a family at a farm like this, mom and
dad, the children, grandparents, some hired hands and maybe even
a trell (slave) or two.
They stay open in the summer season (closed on Saturday).

monoliths now placed on the lawn of the culture house in Åkrehamn
They originally stood in the old 'Åkratunet' and has probably
marked a 'tingsted' there.

Five

Qualified guesses suggest that the place has been used as some
sort of calendar system.
Information poster near the monoliths.

Rebuilt little mill house in Melstokkbrook
It
took 8 years, but in 1996 the little mill was opened, and the first
20 kilos of flour was grinded.
It's mostly thanks to the pupils and staff at Stokkastrand school
that the mill was rebuilt. It's part of a nature walk that goes
by the brook and the mill.
